The WOW Factor

This initiative began from a heart to provide stability for people in a time of uncertainty. Those displaced from the 114 Holland Street fire were not the only ones in need of support. We met dozens of people already facing homelessness and dozens more desperate for community, and a sense of hope.

This is why the WAY we work on this project is important. Everyone is welcome to be a part and play a part. We have had those with lived expertise with homelessness work shoulder to shoulder with professionals who both want to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Local business owners provided materials or donated financially to help us purchase the rest. Our mayor and deputy mayor have been on site multiple times and have supported the project from its inception. Our town staff have been very supportive throughout the zoning and building process and council has agreed to wave all of the associated fees. We have been blessed with an amazing architect, planning consultant and professional engineers who are all donating their time and expertise to see the project through.

We started the project in April 2021 before getting our charitable status in February 2022, so everyone that donated before that time did so expecting nothing in return. We are looking into different grant options but have not received any government funding to date. Our TEAM is praying for God to see the project, we believe He gave us the vision for, through to the end.

When people come and see what's going on they often respond with one word, "Wow!"
